Here's what a few clients have to say about my unique coaching

program:

"Before I began coaching with Peter, I had done everything I was “supposed” to do to be successful—obtained a master’s degree and got a job in my chosen field—and yet I still wasn’t creatively fulfilled and couldn’t manage my money or my weight. I felt like I was sitting in a boat with no oars; the current of my life was sweeping me along and I had no say in the direction or the destination.

Pete is your best teacher, most demanding drill sergeant and your favorite camp counselor all in one. Peter helped me develop an action plan for how I would lose weight, manage my finances and build my fiction writing career, and then ensured that I was fully equipped with necessary tools (through books, coaching and advice from his own experiences) to execute that action plan. His boundless energy and encouragement gave me much-needed motivation to fulfill my goals, and his relentlessness ensured that, at the end of the day, I felt accountable not only to him but to myself.

After just 3 months of coaching with Peter, my goals are no longer abstract fantasies but tangible achievements; best of all, I feel in complete control of my destiny."

-Stefanie, Astoria, NY, age 30.

"After a layoff, complications from multiple sclerosis, a bad injury and consecutive bad relationships left me feeling as if I’d been kicked repeatedly while down for 3 years straight, I knew that I had to change my life. Completely. I knew that I needed to blow things up and start building from scratch, but I felt so stuck that I didn’t know where or how to begin. In just the first month of coaching with Pete, I began to see how I had been limiting myself and what possibilities really were open to me. The first weeks were really hard, but Pete guided me through what he called the “growing pains” of the process with both the straight talk that I needed to hear and compassion. I’m looking forward to really kicking things into gear with the photography and imaging work that I love as well as continuing to unlock my full potential through more coaching. Oh, yes, things are gonna blow up…in a good way."

-Lisa Cohen - New York, NY

"From the first day we met, I was impressed with Peter's energy and drive, life philosophy and positive outlook. His message is so simple yet powerful and I truly hope that more and more people will pay attention and be influenced in their own lives to achieve their dreams. I have worked with Presidents and CEO’s during the last 20 years and I see the same intelligence, brilliance, energy, wisdom, and drive in Peter that they have possessed. I predict an amazing future ahead for Pete where he'll influence and help thousands of people to change their lives for the better."

-Rosaria Di Grande
Montblanc North America, LLC

"Two years ago I left the corporate world and started my own business doing the thing I loved most in the world. That's lesson number one from Rockin' Lifestyle - follow your dream, make your work the thing you'd do for free. Still, it wasn't easy, and I frequently needed reminders and encouragement from Pete on how to grow my business and stay focused on my work. He helped me target my approach, tailor my marketing and prioritize my days so I had achievable goals. I would have been lost without that Rockin' kick in the butt most days."

- Jayne Freeman, Mamarama- talk show host & childbirth educator.

"THANKS for an amazing class you put on for my sales and marketing team! It was fun, informative, and really helped stimulate conversation. After you left we spent another hour in the conference room discussing what we had learned and how we could improve our E (vent) + R (esponse)= O(utcome). We need to have you back soon!"

-John Harms, President and founder of Harms Software, Boonton, New Jersey
www.harms-software.com

"Several years ago, I was in a point of my life where I had hit rock bottom. I lost my apartment & was forced to move back in with my mom. I had ended a bad relationship that left me drained & disappointed. I had lost my job & basically had no career direction. When I met Pete, I was sleeping on my mom’s couch while working a dead end job. He gave me wonderful advice & guidance that empowered me and allowed me to value myself. What I like most about Pete's method is HE'S NO HOLDS BARRED! He gets to the point and doesn’t hold back. At the present moment, I have a great apartment & I am pursuing my dream of acting with much success. I owe a lot of my new found happiness to Pete’s guidance. I can’t thank him enough for all his help!!"

-Massiel Hernandez, Jersey City, NJ

"Pistol made a living out of his dream cause he never lost faith. He got balls, man! His ideas are totally based on experience and I must say that his advice really supported me dealing with the music biz. Great to know he's there. Pistol is a rocker!"

-Mathias Brendel, (drummer for Peaches) Berlin, Germany

"I can’t tell you how much it means to us that you spoke to our group. The information that you presented was great and I have put to use several of your ideas. Your charismatic personality and approach grabbed all of us in the room, and kept us on the edge of our seats. We all came away energized and I think with higher expectations of our selves and more confidence in our own individual missions. In my opinion, you were one of the best speakers that we have had."

- Denise McLachlan

"Pistol doesn’t sugarcoat his advice, he tells you what you need to hear, when you need to hear it. It’s just a matter of whether or not you want to put in the work. The advice he’s given me is invaluable and I feel made a significant impact on my approach to music and to everyday life."

– Brian de Mello

"Despair sometimes brings clarity, and a death of a loved one and a sad divorce I finally see with perfect clarity the importance of fueling your soul. Aligning myself with Rockin' Lifestyle is one of many conscience and strategic steps I am taking in my life to surround myself with the positive and see the glass half full. Pistol pumps me up every day. He brings light into the small moments of my day which otherwise might very well be mundane."

Who is "Pistol" Pete Kaufmann, and why should I use him as

a coach?!

I've been coaching individuals for over a decade on how to kick-ass in life and untap one's true potential. I'm not only a writer and musician who has shared the stage with some of the most respected artists in both the jazz and rock 'n' roll world, but I've interviewed and studied some of the most successful individuals in the entertainment industry and business world.

I have to warn you: I'm not your average coach. I've taken my passion for rock 'n' roll and have applied it to helping people kick ass in life. My methods are balls-to-the-wall, over-the-top, and are guaranteed to shake up your life. My coaching sessions are closer to a rock 'n' roll show than a church sermon or a yoga class. My coaching style is more of a hybrid of coaching, consulting, and mentoring.

I will help you transform your way of thinking (worldview/consciousness) so you can spot opportunity you haven't been paying attention to because of your selective attention on the unimportant things in life.

My methods are more inspired by Rocky Balboa than Buddha. My methods are more "New Jersey" than new age.

"Until you start believing in yourself, you ain't gonna have a life."

- Rocky Balboa

(By the way: did you know Sylvester Stallone wrote Rocky in 3 days straight with no sleep? AND he sold his screen play for very little money just so he could play Rocky Balboa?)

"Be careful where you get your advice from, or you’ll find yourself WORSE off than

before. Pistol is the real deal. He lives a rockin’ lifestyle that isn’t by accident; it’s a result

of what he knows. Let him share it with you, and get happy…"

In addition to private coaching, I've been consulting businesses and organizations within the last few years on how to expand and attract customers via social media. My in-depth knowledge of social media helped catapult my childhood friend, Alaina Giordano, (who had lost her two children in an ugly custody battle to her ex due to her stage 4 cancer) into international news, and landed her on national television on shows like The Today Show, The Gayle King Show, The Dr. Drew Show, The Anderson Cooper Show, Inside Edition, MSNBC and more.

With the Giordano family and Matt Lauer for The Today Show.

"I can trust Peter to have my back no matter what life throws at me. During the moments  when I thought I had hit bottom and couldn't take anymore hardship and abuse, it has been Peter, through his advice, positivity, and friendship, who has time and again in a brief conversation lifted me out of the darkness of perceived defeat towards the light of hope and empowerment. Thank you, Peter. No one can pull me out of the depths of despair like you can and show me the power of my inner strength."

Check out the video below with Massiel Hernandez. When I met her she was working in a cafe. She had no direction, no goals, and was struggling financially. (Make sure to watch the video underneath this one!)

Since the cafe days, Massiel has been busy with her acting and modeling career. Check out her modeling on Univision (she's the 3rd model).

I have been blessed with an incredible life and career. There is NEVER a day that

goes by that I'm unhappy about my life. But, my life hasn't always been this way.

I grew up in a wealthy, upper-class family, and the only thing I was ever told by my father and mother was that I was "stupid," "lazy," "good for nothing," and would never amount to anything when I grew up. My father was a functioning alcoholic and my mom (at the time) was physically and verbally abusive. On a scale of 1 to 10, (with 10 being the worst) my family was a 20.

All I wanted to be was a professional musician, but was constantly told I was dreaming by not only my parents, but by my teachers. (My guidance counsellor told my parents that I should go to vocational school to learn how to install air-conditioners!)

Below: even as a child (me at top), I was curious to see what else was available if one kept searching.

Senior year in high school I had to convince my math teacher not to fail me so I could graduate. After all those years of being told how bad I was and not good enough, my subconscious mind started to believe the lies that were fed to me by my parents and society (this is called external suggestion).

A few years after high school- with no clue what I wanted to be, not smart enough to get into college, and no clue how life worked- I fell into a severe depression while working at a factory earning $6 an hour with no real skills to earn a living.

When my father had died a few years earlier, we had lost all our wealth. (I went from living in a 28 room mansion with an elevator, to washing dishes in Friendly's within a month and giving my mom my whole paycheck.) Before my dad died, he had spent all the money he was supposed to have left in his will. I was so broke that my psychologist let me pay her fee on a sliding scale. Man, what a wake-up call!

My psychologist also prescribed the anti-depressants Paxil and Prozac, which I took for 1 year until one day, I explained to my doctor that I was tired of "masking" my problems by taking prescription medication. She then handed me the book that changed my life forever: The Power of Positive Thinking, by Norman Vincent Peale.

I read the book and applied the methods I learned to my life. I practiced them daily and my whole life changed in about a week. No joke. My year-long depression was GONE.

Now I have to be honest: the book was a bit too religious for me-though I consider myself a spiritual person more than a religious person- but I took the basic key principles (that are rooted in the power of the subconscious) and after that point: EVERYTHING TOOK OFF.

I took the train to New York City's Lower East Side every week and hired legendary jazz drummer,Tommy Campbell, to teach me everything he knew with the little money I made from the factory.

I PRACTICED MY ASS OFF! (Using my knowledge of the human brain, I learned how to cram 10 years of practice into one year.) A year later I applied to New School University's Jazz Program (even though I had never played jazz) and received a partial scholarship to attend. Through the power of positive thinking, mind-control, self-discipline, and HARD WORK- my whole entire life changed direction.

Why Do I Tell You This?!!!

Because that was the beginning of my obsession with human potential. If I could apply those "mind techniques" to snap myself out of a depression, and become a professional musician- even though I had the odds stacked against me- what else was I capable of achieving?!

*According to the Stanford Brain Institute, the average person uses 1 to 2 percent

of their true potential.

Imagine if you could just tap into at least 20 percent more?!!

I've used the principles of success to become healthy in my 30s.

Below: me in my 20s. (taken at a Marcus Miller show)

Below: me in my late 30s

I know it's douche baggy to have a pic of me with no shirt on

posing- but I'm trying to prove a point!!!!

Not only have I used these success formulas on my health, but I've applied them to my finances, my relationship, and have grown my coaching business from an idea into a physical reality.Yes, I have screwed up along the way and have even lost everything, but with the mindset I've developed through years of study and application- I've gained it all back and then some.

Below is a picture of my wife, Wendy, after she finished her cancer treatments. This "lesson" taught us both about the importance of being grateful for what you have in life, no matter how bad your situation may seem. Click here for my latest article on gratitude.

My interest and passion in studying successful musicians lead me to becoming a contributing writer for Modern Drummer Magazine, the biggest drum magazine in the world. That isn't too bad for someone who failed English every year in high school, right?

By the way- I've NEVER taken a public speaking class in my entire life, but I get paid to speak to audiences and groups. That's because:

If the desire is there, the opportunity will come.

In my late 20s, early 30s, I worked with young children (kindergarten through fifth grade) in the New York City school system as a private consultant with a program called "Music and the Brain," helping children increase test scores and intelligence through the music of Mozart and playing the piano. This was an eye-opening experience for me and helped me expand my interest as a private coach later on.

My knowledge base has been developed over the course of two decades of personal trial-and-error/ personal success and failure, reading hundreds of auto-biographies, self-help books, religious books, psychology books, teaching in classrooms, writing articles on success, studying and interviewing successful individuals and companies. (Read my article entitled "What's Your End Result?" )

How does coaching work?

I will personally coach you one-on-one for 12 months.

Coaching sessions are conducted via telephone, 3 times per month (once a week with the 4th week off).

All coaching sessions are 30 minutes long.

I pay for the call nationally (in the U.S.) or internationally.

You will be given weekly and daily assignments which I will be checking up on.

Clients will have unlimited individual access to me via text and email throughout the week (Monday through Friday).

You are allowed an extra phone call if you want to tell me some good news or if you have an emergency (this call will generally be no longer than 5 to 10 minutes).

Coaching IS for you if:

*You're interested in unlocking your true potential and living the life you deserve.

*You want to learn how to set meaningful goals and turn them into reality.

*You're sick and tired of living on auto-pilot and want excitement, passion for living, and personal growth.

*You want new direction if life: physically, mentally, spiritually, or financially.

*You need someone to help motivate and inspire you without all the coddling bulls@#t.

*You are interested in living with happiness, joy, and fulfillment.

*You need a swift kick in the ass from someone who doesn't except excuses and only wants results.

Coaching is NOT for you if:

*You need a therapist.

*You have a serious medical condition that requires psychiatric treatment.

*You want to talk about your problems and your past.

*You are not 100% committed in your decision to change.

Albert Einstein said "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results." If you want to see a change in your life, you gotta do something different. Coaching can help you get new results.
